Local Vlogger Appeals for Footage After Car Set on Fire in Farringdon

Popular Sunderland content creator Danny Vlogs has issued an appeal for information after his car was deliberately set on fire on Sunday night in what he described as a “deflating” and completely unexpected attack.

Danny, who has built a loyal local following through his upbeat videos and community‑driven content, said the incident happened at around 9pm in the Farringdon area. CCTV captured a man running from the scene towards Herons, and Danny is now asking anyone with Ring doorbell or home security footage to get in touch.

He shared the news with followers on Monday morning, admitting he had been unsure whether to post about it — but felt the truth would spread quickly regardless.

“I’ve no idea what the motive was or who it might be,” he said. “Maybe it was random, maybe it was aimed at me. I’ve not done or said anything that would warrant such an attack.”

Danny added that while he occasionally receives hateful comments online, he simply blocks the accounts and avoids confrontation. He stressed that nothing in his content or personal life could explain why someone would target him in this way.

The timing has hit particularly hard. Danny recently reduced his work hours to part‑time so he could focus more on creating videos — something he says he genuinely enjoys and has been excited to grow.

“It kinda deflates you a bit,” he admitted. “But I appreciate all the support from everyone and I’ll keep you posted.”

Supporters have already rallied around him, sharing his appeal and offering messages of encouragement. Danny’s page continues to grow, and many in the community have praised the positivity he brings to Sunderland.
